Bio

Formed out of the murky Louisiana Swamp, these four denizens of somnambulance and limited brain power were a former backing band to Motown’s greats, until abandoned at a routine gas stop in Baton Rouge in August 1965. In an act of brazen post-mortem activity, the band soldiered on, focusing their collective rage and wild abandonment issues into a thrashy, gross, fast, groovy, loud, hurt-feeling-fest of garage and punk rock bravado. After emerging from those garbage laden swamps, the band relocated to Los Angeles in late 2009 to annoy and harass the lazy bourgeois bar going public and teenage backyard house show attendee. Since their return, DHN9 have been regularly assaulting clubs around the Los Angeles area with their frenetic concoction of violent garage.

These undead musicians have honed their murderous rumpus into a mania that is impossible to ignore. Imagine The Cramps wrestling Doo Rag in an electric-fence cage-match at the tail-end of a month-long crystal meth binge.

Ghastly and urgent, Death Hymn Number 9 sizzles with power while never abandoning their ghoulish garage roots – The kind of band that insists attention and delivers a din so pure rock & roll, it’s dangerous. Their AT debut, 3rd Degree Moon Burns, has a biting sound that is refreshingly frightening and original. A no holds barred, tumbling mania bubbling into a perfect cacophony.

Nobody knows anything about them except that they are FUCKING AMAZING!!!!
