PRODUCTION UPDATE: LARD "THE LAST TEMPTATION OF REID" TEST PRESSINGS HAVE ARRIVED

This past week, Alternative Tentacles GM Freya Yamamoto visited the incredible team at Smashed Plastic Record Pressing to check out some of the work they’re doing for us — including picking up the long-awaited test pressing for the repress of Lard’s The Last Temptation of Reid!

The new test pressing is now in hand and on its way to Jello Biafra for final approval!

To say this project has had a rough journey would be an understatement. Delays and production issues at the original plant pushed several releases way back, Reid included. While most of those albums have since come out, Jello wasn’t satisfied with the sound quality of Reid when we reassigned it to another plant.

So, production was halted while he worked to remaster the album from the ground up. Once approved, we sent it straight to our friends at Smashed Plastic, knowing they’d do it justice.

We wanted to update you as soon as we could, especially those who’ve been patiently waiting on their long standing pre-orders. We are holding off making any promises about delivery time, but we are all doing the best we can to get this album out to you as soon as possible. This one has taken far longer than anyone expected, but we promise it will be worth the wait. This will be the best-sounding version of The Last Temptation of Reid we’ve ever released, and we can’t wait for you to hear it.
