VIC BONDI AND HIS ISSUES AT TENTACLEFEST THIS WEEKEND!

This Saturday, June 27, Alternative TentacleFEST returns to San Francisco’s legendary Great American Music Hall with a lineup that’s stacked from top to bottom. Next up in our artist spotlight: the incredible Vic Bondi And His Issues!

The title of Vic Bondi’s latest release, Vic Bondi And His Issues, might sound self-deprecating, but it’s closer to a diagnosis. Nearly four decades after helping define politically conscious American hardcore, Bondi’s newest work is less concerned with nostalgia than accountability; personal, historical, and national. The songs are immediate, sharp, and gripping, delivered with a lean, deliberate approach that cuts straight to the point. The album title, bestowed by Jello Biafra, nods toward confession while taking direct aim at the culture surrounding us.

With a résumé that includes legendary bands such as Articles of Faith, Jones Very, Alloy, Report Suspicious Activity, Dead Ending, Redshift, and more, Bondi has never been one to stand still. Though make no mistake, Vic Bondi And His Issues doesn’t revisit old battlegrounds; it confronts new emergencies! In an era that often mistakes outrage for action and irony for critique, the album argues for something increasingly rare: the belief that music can still challenge power, spark conversation, and intervene in history instead of merely providing its soundtrack!
